My new blog here has been very quiet. There just doesn’t seem to be anything out of the ordinary to write about.
But as my daughter pointed out….”mom, you should just write about the weather if necessary and what you did that day…cause I might need to know in the future what you were doing on such and such a day….or what Jace was up to on that day…or what appointments you had” LOL.
And I guess she is right…if I was writing a physical, you know…on the paper journal, I would be writing the mundane….everyday kinds of things. So why not here? Afterall, this blog is just about “my life”…cause it’s my blog and it’s a good way for my children to go back and read..this thing we call “life” on our little homestead.
So, having said that…what have I been up to? Babysitting Jace….babysitting Jace…and did I mention babysitting Jace. LOL. He truly is the joy of this grandma’s heart.
But so you don’t think that is it….I have been working on my garden (you know the Back to Eden method)…boy would I love to head to Olympia Washington to see this man’s garden. Audrey, if you are out there…we need to make a trip to the US and soon!!!
Okay, I digress. So yesterday we brought in another dump truck load of soil…and today the children and I will be shovelling…after I head to a far away mall to look for a “mother of the bride” dress.
Yes, that is what I did ALL day yesterday….came home with nothing but great ideas….and sore feet. There wasn’t very much to choose from locally, so daughter as nagged me…I mean suggested (LOL)…we had off to Metro town Mall and see what is there. I was planning on waiting until June…but apparently once July rolls around, Fall clothing is on the shelves….so I NEED to get mine now before there is nothing “summer” left on the shelves.
What else? Oh yes, I purchased my Heirloom seeds for my garden. Interesting conversation I heard while standing in the line-up waiting to pay for my seeds. It went something like this….two women were talking and one woman was talking and heirloom seeds…only she pronounced the word heirloom like hairloom…and her friend started to laugh. She said that heirloom is actually pronounced like…”airloom”….that the “h” is silent. Her friend was laughing so hard (I think out of embarassment)…for her mistake. The other lady was saying that we don’t say…”he is an hair to the throne…but an “air” to the throne….and of course “air” being spelled Heir to the throne. But I also have heard some say “hairloom” instead of Airloom…does that make sense.
And the lady then turned around and asked me…and I say “airloom”…(just spelling it like it sounds LOL. How do you pronounce the word?
Well, that is about my excitement for the week. Will try and post more often.
Blessings to each of you!!!
